Heater temp control or Aqualink temp control

I just replaced my pool heater and noticed it only got to 98 deg while my Aqualink was set to 103. I found that my new heater was set to a temp of 99.

Should I allow the new heater to control the max temp, or should I turn up the heater shutoff to 105 and let my Aqualink control the temp when it hits 103?

Heater under Aqualink control should have its temperature set to max.

Your heater should not be able to be set higher than 104 (by law), but that's where it needs to be.
