Hayward Salt and Swim 3C on Standby

Moved from here.
I just have a brand new unit installed. After months we are seeing STANDBY mode. Water pool is around 88 degrees, so it's not too hot. (104 is when the standby should be on). I run the pool 9 hours a day. What is happening here? Btw is this is our 2nd machine within 2 years. So far this machine is awful

We don’t recommend those automated chemistry systems because they are problematic.

Do you know if the system has its own temperature sensor that may be off?
