I would like to add this heat pump to my set-up. I am looking for input & advice on running this in conjunction with a Hayward HDF-400.

Unfortunately there were supply chain issues during our remodel & we couldn’t locate one.
We did run 6 awg wire to the pad & there is an expansion slot for the breaker.
We have a 10 kw solar array & currently over-produce our electricity needs by 1,500-2k kWh annually so I’m not to worried about operating costs.
We currently filter 24/7 which is unnecessary, but it does keep the pool very clean.

Pentair writes much better heater manuals then Hayward does. Pentair addresses using multiple heaters in their UltraTemp Installation Manual. Here is what they say...
