Actually, no. I just used the 1.5 inch box adapters and 1.5 inch couplings. All of my piping is 1.5 inch, with the exception of the fountain which is 1 inch.
Are you talking about the part that goes through the pool wall? If so, that's the return fitting that came with the pool. I simply took the factory valve assembly off and used the 2-piece nut that was on it.
Hello every one, thank you for your help I was able to hardplum the intex pump and salt water filter i have a lot of photos i like to upload to photo bucket hoping it will help others with the plumbing. I will post them Rear soon as I can.
My next project will be a deck, I have seen some decks on youtube but they are for round pools if any one has any videos on how to build a deck for a rectangular pool please let me know thanks.
I bought those same lights - they worked good for two days. Then one got full of water. Then the second one went on the brink. So I returned them and got better pool light. Hope you have better luck with those lights
Here's some close-up pictures of the box adapter with and without the collar to attach to the pool return. There are other pictures in the PhotoBucket libary that may help as well. I used the gasket from the Intex return and put the flat side against the flat side of the box adapter. I just used standard PVC cement and primer for all of the connections, including that of the electrical box adapter.
