Glass beaker for DPD testing

For those that may be interested-
I decided to find a glass beaker that I can use for the DPD testing - The powder is so abrasive that the plastic cylinders get pretty messed up, pretty quick.

Found one that will fit the Speedstir (smaller than 1.29" - 32.7mm Dia). Took a while to actually find one that is small enough to fit on the Speedstir!

Wal-Mart and Amazon have all sorts of "who'd a thunk it"" stuff you mysteriously can wander into. I found hydraulic pool lifts for handicapped people at Amazon somehow...

Those would last about 5 seconds with me NO glass allowed near me if you want it in one piece.

Thanks but no thanks. No glass allowed on the patio. I've used the same cylinder for five or six years, and, yeah, it looks pretty scruffy. But since all I have to do is see when it goes clear, it doesn't have to be optically perfect.

Good find! My 3 plastic cylinders are all messed up from the Speedstir's magnetic beans scraping them. I bring my water sample indoors so poolside breakage is not a worry for me. I ordered 3.

Unfortunately, these vials are just a bit too short for comfort when running a 25 ml test. After adding the magnetic bean and extra chemical drops, the solution comes dangerously close to overflowing. A taller vial would be better.

Works fine for the 10 ml FC/CC test, though.
