Fusion Soft 1400 flow sensor

I have a Fusion Soft 1400. The salt reading on the Jandy PDA has been showing variable salt readings. I had some plaster rebar rust repaired and just refilled the pool. It's approximately 17000 gallons. I put 7 bags of salt in the pool. The salt reading is showing currently 3700 but also showed 4300 and shut the cell off for a brief moment. I really don't think the level is this high. I have noticed a reduction in chlorine. The salt cell is new and shows on and flow. Could this be a defective flow sensor?

The flow sensors are always varying because of how they measure. The ONLY way to get an accurate salt measurement is to use the Taylor K-1766 salt test kit. Don’t add any more salt until you can test using this kit.
