From Above to In Ground

Hello all! I used to have a partially in ground radiant pool. We moved a couple years ago and are currently building an in ground. I got home from work today and saw the plumbing all connected and this thing. No idea what this is. I tried looking at the website but don’t really understand. This is not a salt water chlorine generator correct? I did not opt for one. The website mentions something about minerals. Seems like some BS thing where you add chemical packs? I don’t think I want this. I am an old fashioned TFP girl and do my own chemicals. Should I ask them to remove this? Anyone use this thing and like it? TIA. Attaching some pool build pics for anyone curious.

It is a combination Mineral System and puck chlorinator...and an expensive one for replacement chlorine.

Have them remove it and refund your money on the unit. Do you have the build quote?
