Well here we are again
Everything was going wonderful, until a bag got stuck in our skimmer basket while we were sleeping last night which caused the pool to ice over. We were able to get the water moving again and we were checking on the pool throughout the day and all seemed decent.
However, a chunk of ice blocked the skimmer again, and we fear that we need to do what we can to minimize what damage we can.
1. We are going to first try to drain the pool below the returns, but we have a NEW LINER and I am scared draining that low will ruin the liner. Is draining below the skimmer enough?
2. After we drain the pool, we know to put a liter in the skimmer to try to prevent the pipe from freezing.
3. We also know to drain the sand filter and pump basket etc....
4, I don't think we have anything to blow the lines out unfortunately
5. We will also cover the equipment with a tarp,
Is there anything else you all recommend?
