Fountain for cooling Intex pool

Since my pool is getting so hot, I searched threads for awhile and didn't see much of anything talking about attaching to Intex without a trip to home depot to rig together a connection.

I found one on Amazon that fits both standard threads and also includes an adapter for Intex fittings. The product description was a little vague since it didn't use the name Intex. However, it worked perfectly and took less than 5 min to install.

It, plus another mod, has dropped the pool temp from 92 to 84. It took running the pump 24x7 for 3 days to get there. Each day the morning and afternoon Temps dropped a couple degrees.

BYW, the actual Temps here are 100 and feels like is 110.

This is a little video of it in action. This is with the Intex 2500 gph pump. The fountain is at 50% fountain and 50% bypass for circulation. If I goo 100% fountain it's like Bellagio in the pool, haha.

We run a fountain as it serves to cool the water a degree or 2 and is just something else for the kids to play with.
Instead of coming off the return directly, I plumbed a "T" connection and ran pipe and shut off valve to where I wanted to put the fountain.

It isn't a degree or two for us. Water temp before was 92 at 3pm when we swim. After, at the same time, is 86. Huge difference.

The first week we had it, we ran the pump 24x7 to cool overnight and get it down. Now I only have to run it about 10-12 hours to maintain.

I did one other thing to help that I will post separately.
