Foam On Water Surface

A month ago a bulk water company topped up our pool. Immediately once starting the pump, it started foaming. A thick layer of foam started when no chemicals were added as I always vacuum first. After a month, it's still there.

Water tested weekly by independent pool companies and shows all normal ranges.

Shocked, applied algaecide weak weekly, and it still foams. Vacuum on waste, backwash on waste, rinse on waste and still foam.

Tested TDS and normal range.

Believe pool company cleaned water truck before adding my potable water. Or used septic truck, cleaned it, then added my potable water.

Any ideas?

Welcome to TFP!

Can you share which specific algaecide you're adding? Some of them are known to cause foaming, one of several reasons we rarely recommend using them.

While we're not too fond of pool store water testing, but can you post the detailed numbers of your last test? Everyone company has their own definition of what normal ranges are so the actual numbers are needed. While these numbers might give us some clues on which direction to take things, we really don't fully trust numbers that pool owners didn't gather themselves. Just a heads up that we might come up with some ideas and possibilities but it will be difficult at this time to offer you concrete answers.
