Hello,

I just took over pool care on my new pool after the initial 2 months of service provided by the contractor. Below are my results using the TF-Pro test kit. I assume I can leave the FC and CYA alone for now since they are high and low, respectively. What is recommended besides adding baking soda? I am a little confused because the pool service has been adding mostly PH down and liquid chlorine for the past 2 months.

I believe my signature is updated and pool math logs are shared. Let me know if they are not.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

FC - 13
CH - 400
TA - 30
PH - 7.2
CYA - 20

Congrats!

Yes, raise your TA to 50-60 with baking soda. Suspend the use of pH down. Use muriatic acid.

Raise your CYA to at least 30 with chlorine stabilizer. Use the sock method.
