Yesterday it reached 80º here in Shingle Springs, California. I put on my swim trunks and made the dive in, (not off the diving board though, that's just for looks)!

My watch displayed the water temperature and it said 67º which felt perfect to me! The pool has solar heating and a dedicated giant propane tank, but I don't see myself ever using it? I grew up in the mountains and swimming in ice cold rivers from melting snow was our Summer refreshment. I think years and years of this as a kid conditioned me to appreciate the cold water! It was the 80's and me and all my friends rode our bikes for miles to the river to leap off the towering rocks into the river! Such good memories!

Congrats! The older I get, the better the cold water feels on my knees and feet. I’ve been under twice so far this year, but haven’t been off the diving board yet. Our pool hit 70 degrees but has gotten colder lately. 🥶
