....just got my August bill.....about $110 LESS than July. Now, we've had a cool August and a very hot July, but I didn't expect that much of a reduction. I only made minor changes in my electricity usage (reduced pump time from 12 hrs/day to about 10 hrs/day - 12 on wkends) and increased the thermostat on my A/C by one degree to 77.... but my bill went from $570 to 460. Still more than I'd like to pay. Even though the pool is new, I'm thinking about looking into a 2 speed pump or an Intelliflow. The only problem that I think I may have is that I have 3 returns (2 in my "thermaledge" at the shallow end & an 18" sheer descent). I'm thinking that running a pump on low speed will cause the sheer descent to trickle rather than flow.
