Pool has gas and power to it, just all the equipment needs replacing and new pvc plumbing joining the components to the pool. What do you think the fair ballpark range to install a new filter, pump, heater, and salt water system should be? My total quote for all the equipment installed was about $15,500 and when I subtracted what the equipment goes for at Leslie’s from the quote it looks like the labor is about $4-$5k. Does that sound reasonable?

You can't really compare Leslie's prices. They buy millions more units from the manufacturer than your guy does. Leslie's price may be less than your guy's cost. Half of the difference may be his profit and the other half the labor.
Have you gotten multiple quotes ? That's about the only way to know what's fair in your area.
