I wonder if this is a common problem. I'm hoping it's a simple O-ring replacement issue, but as per usual it's difficult to just buy the o-ring you need given the stupid distributorship model of sales that the pool supply companies still use. And you end up paying $10 for a $0.10 part through the online middle men/vendors.

I had a Pentair rep actually watch it leak and say it probably just needs to be cleaned. However, on my previous filter, I did a very thorough cleaning on it , plus lubed the o-ring and it still happened. The amount coming out of my valve now is small enough that I don't want to bother opening the filter until I really need to clean it. Should be several months at the very least before I need to.
