I battle high TA every year. When we first got pool (water filled from well) 3 years ago TA was nearly 300! This year upon opening it was at 90, but has since crept up to 170. We have a SWG but have just turned it on after a successful week long SLAM (had ammonia and then algae). Current pH is 7.5 but will probably decrease a bit as I just added CYA to get back up to 70. Can I just leave TA alone if pH is stable or do I need to do the muriatic acid/aeration dance?
