Im a one man crew at that. The drawl back of shift work is everyone is working when im off.
what's your thought on the elevation of the walls...you gonna backfill all that? slope your decks or steps to the pool?

Its the photo. Im 6" above surrounding grade which will be deck slope for water run off.
Looking good, you will want to make sure to pack the fill under that steps really good. I can tell by tapping on mine some are packed better than others.

Yep so far it has been all me except for excavation. The clay we have has held up very good. I was going to do the bottom and I tried two bags this morning and figured out I don't have the skill needed. I called my excavating guy and he gave me a name. I was quoted $1350 to install the bottom. That was money I didn't want to spend but Jack said he was very good and I figure I would see any mistakes I made for the next 20-30 years and that would drive me insane.
That sounds like $1350 well spent to me. I'm an avid DIY'er but sometimes it's well worth hiring a pro!

Yea Ned I agree. I'm the same way, my kids say "daddy can fix anything". I think the skill needed for a good finish is beyond me.
Money well spent...mixing 400 bags Portland and sand....no way in **** :lol:

Will do JJ. I went with pool krete on the advice of Jack. I loaded 80 42 lb bags by hand into my trailer yesterday, wasn't fun.
He is calling me tomorrow to set a date. Paradise pools in Watson ordered it for me, $14 a bag.

Need a pump? I have a 1 1/2" pump you can use to get the water out. Rained so much here my 2" overflow drain was flowing full flow(once I opened it) for a while to catch up to get level back down.
No JJ he going to come when the weather is right. I have two that I used racin but thank you for the offer
