Just joined TFP. Our 1970 pool was remodeled in 1999 and we're doing it again with spa addition. Demo down to gunite and new everything except for our Raypak heater and Pentair SuperFlo VS pump. Pool contractor is going to install new 2HP pump for spa jets, Pentair 420 Clean and Clear cartridge filter, Pure Chlor salt/chlorine generator and a Jandy PDA-PS8 automation configured to let us control everything with our phones. I'm trying to get up to speed on automation and hope what he recommends work out for us. Any tips would be appreciated. Happy to be here!

What is your pool volume?
Will the new spa overflow into the pool?
I am a little confused as to why Jandy automation? Ask for the Pentair IntelliCenter automation. Then go with the Pentair IntelliChlor salt system over the Jandy AquaPure salt system (is that what is meant by Pure Chlor?)
Not sure why you want to mix mfg when you have the opportunity to go all Pentair and Pentair is a better automation system over Jandy (especially the PDA system - that is really old technology).
