Did StripQuik just destroy my filter and pump?

One thing that worries me is that Lye (Sodium Hydroxide) gets HOT when it mixes with water. It's Drano. I'm wondering if some plastic pieces got deformed by the heat.

It's the aluminum flakes in Drano that combined with lye make it hot (and produces hydrogen gas as well) and that's intentional to provide more cleaning. I didn't see any aluminum in this filter degreaser product so I don't believe it would have increased in temperature significantly.
