They are discontinued and difficult to find new or used. The heater works but the display screen is burned out so im pushing buttons blind

I would just try to fix yours. Reseat it and see maybe it is something simple.

FYHI: This one is not the correct one but it is a Laars and the connector is the same. Might work?
