Decided to empty and start over

QUESTION…18 foot round 54 inches deep above ground pool with crappy water…
need to empty and refill…I know I know $$$$$…my question is how far down can
I go emptying the pool without it caving in…Thank you

Traditional above ground pool ? You need to leave 12 - 18 inches to hold the liner in place. Watch it closely at 18 inches and below and stop if you notice any shifting.

Intex type pools can be fully drained as they are meant to be stored each winter.

If it is buried at all do not lower the water lower than the surrounding ground either.
