I am relatively new to maintaining an in-ground pool (this is my second year). I replaced my grids in my Pentair DE filter (PNF 60), along with the o-rings. Before replacement, my pressure was about 13 when clean. Now, it runs at around 25 PSI. Any thoughts on what could be causing this?

PV,

Filter pressure is the amount of effort that it takes to force water through the filter.

If the pressure went up, after you installed the new grids, I would have to assume they are not the right grids or maybe not installed correctly.

It is not something that would normally happen.

Let's see what our other members have to say..

Thanks,

Jim R.

PV,

I am assuming that you are running the pump at the same speed you did when the pressure was 13 psi.

What does the water flow out of your pool returns feel like? Is it strong or weak?

Thanks,

Jim R.
