I have a D.E. Filter, I did a deep clean soaking the fingers in muriatic acid, then rinsed with garden hose. Pool is crystal clear and chemicals are balanced. My issue is when I add the D.E. (not even the recommended amount much less) my pool is not circulating and the pressure gauge reads almost 30psi. I recently cleaned the filter again, but did not add the DE back this time, and I have had no issues with pressure or circulation. I am just trying to figure out why when I use my filter with DE I am not getting circulation, and if I should just stop adding DE to it? New pool owner just learning, all the equipment came with the house.

Did you do a thorough soak and cleaning of the grids/fingers with TSP BEFORE soaking in acid? If not, they are probably ruined. Acid will fuse residual particulates to the grids.
