Cyanuric Acid problems help!

Welcome to TFP!

Being in Corpus Cristi, you water table is probably quite high. Not a good idea to drain an in ground pool. You can use the water exchange method. See: Draining - Further Reading ... hopefully @mknauss will pop in to assist you with using the water exchange method.

Great job on ordering the TF-100
Fill out your signature with your pool type and equipment list. How do you chlorinate your pool?

Once you read the article posted by Gene, you then need to know the CH of your pool water and fill water, was this a salt water pool, the temperature of your pool water and fill water.
Then you need to find where are you going to put the effluent while you are draining your pool. You will need a 1/2 hp submersible pump and hoses.

Once you let that all soak in, come on back and we can answer your questions.

So I noticed when we drain it (with like a sump pump) and the spa water goes down, so is a good plan to drain it for a bit and then start filling up the spa? We’ve got a school park behind us (with a big drain) so we’ve got a place for the water :) not a salt water pool it’s an ozone pool.
thanks!!

Did you read the article? The process is to pump out the water at the same rate as you are filling it. If the spa is a spillover you will want to drain and fill it separately and then close of the suction and return valves for it.

FYI -- there is no such thing as an 'ozone' pool. All pools need chlorine or another approved sanitizer. Ozone is not one of them.

Welcome to TFP!

If you have a CYA buildup that tends to mean a stabilized chlorine such as tablets are used, right? That would make it a chlorine pool with ozone as a supplemental oxidizer. "Ozone Pool" tends to be a marketing term since a pool that were to only use ozone would be unsanitary and harbor all sorts of nasties.
