Is it possible for cya to go from 50 to 0 after having that took the cover off and put 4 jugs of bleach over 4 day period? I got stabilizer but want to make sure of this before adding my dosage

When did you test 50?

It can drop over the winter, as there are bacteria that eat it.

If you had 50 cya 4 days ago though, it shouldn't drop to 0 like that. Cya generally stays in the pool unless your drain the water.

Last year which I partially drained because it was 90. I closed it and then re opened it a few days ago. I ordered my my cya regiment from amazon and thought maybe it was defective but I filled it this year and it has been running for 3 days now

So, if you haven't tested this season and gotten something in the 40-50 range, it's very possible. My CYA disappears every single winter and I have to add CYA to get it to the proper level.

That's a good approach, but remember that CYA can take a few days before it shows up on the test.

I'm just stuck because of the refill I ordered from amazon. I don't want to think I got bad product because my chorine refill I bought is right on the spot but the 3 pools I have tested including mine is zero. One is green because of poor closing, the other just got put in a few days ago and nothing was added but shock which I've brought them to trouble free and the other is mine which I have refilled. So parts of me are telling me the refil is absolutely fine and I just have to add conditioner
