CYA not registering with test kit.....

I need to SLAM my pool asap. After opening we found out the pump was dead. Had it replaced today and the pool is a total swamp. I check the cya level and get no turbidity ....I can see the black dot even with comparative tube is full. However I know there was some when we closed last year. I don't want to underestimate the cya and get it too high making SLAM harder or near impossible but I also don't want to SLAM with no cya. I first tested before the new pump had time to recirculate all of the water. Should I let it pump overnight and check again? Just not sure what to do next but this swamp needs some chlorine quick!

Hmm, maybe try bumping to 10ppm again and retest in 10 minutes. Good that the CC appears to be low, but that FC drop seems a little high.

If the CC is still low, then get 30ppm of CYA in the water and SLAM.
