I have about 30 CYA and my shock level for my pool is 12. I have it currently at 15.
All of the Algae in my pool is pretty much gone ( a very small amount to begin with) --My PH was at 7.8-8 (measured before slam) so I also put in some muriatic acid to lower it .3
TA is about 80
....do you guys think it is ok for the kids to swim ?

Generally, as long as you can see to the bottom and you are below your target SLAM level, it's safe to swim. Seems like your pool chemistry is good other than FC at this moment is a touch high. FC quickly comes down anyhow so that will fall normally around 3ppm per day which will get you below SLAM level where it's safe for the kids to swim. When you say pretty much gone, I think you'll want to ensure it's 100% gone. You should do the OCLT to verify your in good shape. Overnight Chlorine Loss Test
