I have a 3 year old pool in Phoenix. I recently noticed a crack in the foundation of the pool decking. Not sure how much I should be worrying about it or what to do about it.
Hard to tell without knowing the construction of the deck but it looks like the pavers were set into a concrete base and that crack is simply in the concrete base. Notice the crack is right where the paver joint is … that’s normally where you would expect it to be based on expansion/contraction from seasonal changes in temperature.
There’s really nothing you can or should do to it. As long as the crack doesn’t get worse or the pavers don’t start to pull up then I wouldn’t bother with it.
If it is aesthetically bothering you, you could fill it with a flexible joint compound like MorFlex which comes in different colors and is sanded to give it a cement-like texture.
