Convenience vs Liquid Chlorine

Added 7.1 oz puck of Trichloro to bump up FC at noon today. Just checked FC to see if the number had moved. No difference in 7 hrs. Next year just going with immediate water infiltration liquid chlorine. Wonder what the percentage is for owners who use pucks/powder vs liquid?

The pucks dissolve very slowly over a week so no surprise there. TFP recommend liquid chlorine for long term use. Walmart has 10% and pool store sometimes carry 12.5%. Pick whichever one is cheaper per FC.

Agree with above. The pucks don’t release chlorine very fast so I’d really only use them if I had them on hand for a vacation as additional insurance possibly or for CYA.
