Can someone tell me the difference between these 2? The orange label says use once and the purple label says use to maintain. I’m confused. I’ve only ever used the orange label one but my husband came home with both.

The one on the left is chorine stabilizer (CYA or cyanuric acid). The one of the right is DiChlor.

The orange bottle just adds pure CYA.

The purple bottle iis a mix of chlorine and CYA. It releases a 2:1.2 ratio of FC to CYA

Or just return the dichlor & get your $ back or get more stabilizer.

Funny story, in the beauty aisle at Walmart the other day there was this poor fella with an empty olay face wash container looking puzzled & terrified. His wife had sent him & he couldn’t locate a match amongst the plethora of options. I happened upon the last one & gave it to him. He was extremely grateful, he thought he was going to have to go to another store to fulfill his mission!
