Cloudy Murky Water! Help!

Update: My pool is FINALLY clearing up (after many bottles of bleach/backwash/rinse)! Just did another vacuum as I could see on the floor a cream color hazy (something) ...I'm assuming dead algae. The walls though...that's another story. It's hard and bumpy and gross. I've scrubbed the walls but maybe I need a special kind of brush? A certain chemical?
