..My pool is clear, but when I brush the liner a cloudy film gets kicked up, almost like a powder, then it settles again. Any idea if that is normal? Salt pool..DE filter.
My test kit hasn't come yet..all's I have are my strips...FC is 10..CYA is 50..but you know these strips aren't accurate..if it's dead algae, should I power vac out of pool, or can I run through my pool vac filter (not my pool filter)
I know, but my test kit is coming on the 8th. How can I keep my pool from spiraling out of control in the mean time? My last"pool strip" reading had the FC at 10 & the CYA at 50. Right now my SWG is off bc the chlorine level is high. When should I turn it back on? When the strip reads 5 in the FC level? Thanks for your help?
With CYA at 50 keeping your FC between 6 and 20 is safe to swim and will keep algae from getting worse. [FC/CYA][/FC/CYA] Also, brushing daily will help.
