Cleaning CYA mixing bottle

Good morning all,
Is it necessary to clean the cya mixing bottle and if so how would one go about it? I think the inside of the bottle is sort of chalky or has a residue on it. Would I be able to pour some liquid chlorine in there an let it sit a bit?

That is odd. Are you rinsing it out after use.

Try some bleach. Or alcohol. Rinse out well.

Yes, I always rinse it out after. The bottle is I think 2 years old

Wow, I can see clearly now! That worked great. A minute or two of liquid chlorine did the trick. Don’t know how I want testing before. Bottles new again. I had to hold it up to the light previously just to see where the level was at.
