I just purchased the RJ30 for my new pool. The power cable is secured to the bottom of the unit with a 3/8" plastic coupling. The other end has 3 wires to use for connecting to the power source. My plan is to run 220 power from my pump or sub panel to the SWG unit. Both have standard 1/2" openings to receive liquid tite or pvc conduit. Has anyone used this cable to tie into a time clock/pump housing/ or sub panel? Doesn't it have to be protected in conduit?
Thanks

Use a fitting designed for cords. The wire itself doesn't have to be protected, but you can run it inside of conduit if you want. Here are a couple fittings made for cords...
