So Cal
I have a 12" raised bond beam and want to take a cantilever umbrella and remove the cross brace and use lag bolts to go through the coping and into the raised bond beam. Would be 4 lag bolts. Do you think this is fine?

When you take out the umbrella, are you leaving the stump there?

The base/stump with the 4 bolts will always be there. I would toss out the large cross base which is for weights. During winter, I would remove the umbrella from the post but the post would stay there permanently.
