Broken in wall female threads

Hello

The in wall female threads for my Polaris pool sweep are broken. The screw in adapter keeps falling out. When looking at the wall of the pool, I can see that there is only a small piece of the plastic female threads left (maybe about 1/4 of the diameter of the hole), so the screw in adapter never fully tightens. How do I replace the female threads? I am not sure if my pool is Guinite or concrete. How do I tell?

22k gal, IG plaster, 18x36, Non SWG
1.5hp motor 3450 rpm
Mytilus brand Cartridge filter
Polaris 360 auto vac with 1.5hp motor

Gunite and shotcrete are both processes that end up with a concrete pool. I don't know about replacing the fitting. Inyo Pools might be able to help. Or hopefully someone will come along who knows.
