bright spa light pointed towards the house

My Mom just moved and her new house has a pool. The light in the spa is installed on the far side so that you see it from the house and patio. She feels the bright light is distracting and is trying to find a solution other than the the expensive option of moving the light. Possibly a darker lens or a light hood? Any ideas? Thanks

You could put a strategically located large planter on the deck to hide the light if it is only shining on one part of the house.
