Ok so I just inherited my grammas house which has a pool. That is mu current nightmare. Long story short after getting chemicals almost in range (pool hasn't been touched in 8 years) I realize the pump is cracked ok it's old I get it. I buy new pump install it and it's over heating within 10 minutes of running. Please help I'd like to get this pool up and running by the time her services are. I tried to buy as close to the exact same pump because I didn't want these issues.

Welcome to TFP.

You replaced the motor on the pump and did not buy an entire new pump?

Show us the data plates on the old and new motors.

Is the pump powered by 120V or 240V?

What voltage is the motor set to?
