I need to lower my ph before i start and I'm following the pool math app for dosages and I've done it twice with acid and ph will not go down. Should I just start pouring the chlorine in or what. Also my cya is like 80 and my pool is green with a bad algae bloom that got away from me cause of this heat and not being able to tend to it?? Pleas e help!!

It would be best to exchange half your pool volume to fresh water to lower the CYA to 40 ppm or so.

Is there debris at the bottom of the pool? If so, I would vacuum to waste to get rid of that and lower your CYA in the process.
