Bought a foreclosed home with a swamp.

This is the pool today. Everything seems to be working well, haven't had to backwash in over 24 hours. Plumbing in a T-valve was a great idea and I will use that suggestion should the pool ever need that much work again.

I'm having a hard time keeping the FC level within normal range. Yesterday evening FC was 15, this morning around 10am FC was 1. I currently have stabilizer in a sock in the skimmer to try and fix this.

Any suggestions on the brown stain around the edge? I tried Mr.Clean eraser pads and the vitamin C tablets. The eraser pads didn't do much. The vitamin C tablets lightened the stain. Anything different I could try?

If the vitamin C tablet lightened the stain then you should do an AA treatment, or treat the stains locally with a sock full of vitamin C tablets and add sequestrant (if that seems simpler).
