Borax shortage

I can't find boxes of borax at any of my local stores. Is there a shortage?

If your pH is constantly too low, the TA is too low.

I noticed my local store was out as well.
You can also use washing soda, but it will raise TA a bit.

I couldn't find borax and baking soda locally for a while either, so I just bought it online. Cost me a little more but I wasn't running all over town trying to find it.

20 Mule Team is not as popular as when Death Valley Days was on the tube.

I had trouble finding it 5 years ago in S. California. Finally found at Smart & Final.

You can get 55# of boric acid delivered for under $100 and then you won't need to worry about pH.

OUr walmart was out few weeks ago but back in stock now. Maybe somebody started a rumor you can make TP out of Borax
I read where people are hording TP again.
