Blower Stopped

Tonight I was enjoying my hot tub and suddenly the blower stopped. It is old. When I came over to it, it was not making any noise and I flipped the switch back-and-forth.

I am going to mess with it tomorrow and start by testing the electricity. I doubt this is the problem because it is on the same circuit as the pump and heater which are working.

Just curious from some of the experts out there, what is the most common thing that goes wrong with these?

I’m guessing the motor just went out but maybe something got lodged in it?

You read on the blower label that it has a resettable thermal switch?

Could be the thermal switch or could be the motor burnt out.

I will try to reset the switch tomorrow. I did not notice that. If this is the case, is it possible that there is debris causing it to overheat? Is it possible to open up the blower to see what’s going on inside and if it needs to be cleaned?

I doubt there is debris in the blower. The air intake is well sealed.

The thermal switch automatically resets after about an hour off.

You can remove the plastic top with a few screws to see the blower motor.
