Best heat pump brand?

Hi, we have a 24’ round above ground pool. We live in southern Michigan. We use a solar blanket and the pool stays covered unless we are in it. That alone keeps the temperature a pretty solid 82 most days mid-June to Labor Day. I don’t necessarily want to extend the swim season, I would just enjoy the pool more if it were around 85. (We are in our 60’s). We live in a very rural area and only have access to propane so it seems a heat pump will be our best option.

What brand(s) should we consider?

I'd look at AquaCal, Raypak, or Pentair. Install it with an external bypass.

I only had two brands over the years. First one was Hayward. Second and third one was AquaPro. I never had a problem with the AquaPro. I had the last one around 8 years. The only reason I replaced the second one was that I wanted a larger one.
