It is a Starite P6E6E-206L, 1HP.I would cut the pipe and unscrew the fitting and then use the unions that go to the pump like they should have done from the start.
What is the pump model?
Is it under warranty?
It is possible. I live in Houston and we had a big freeze in Feb. My pool is set with freeze protection to run the pumps, we never lost power. But I can't be certain that it never froze.Did it freeze?
So I would PVC weld the union to the PVC coming/going to the plumbing, then use the threaded coupler to the pump intake and output?Pentair Sta-Rite Union Adapter Kit, 2" Slip - PKG 188 - INYOPools.com
