Recharging is Step 11 in this thread.

If you have a kitchen scale, that's the best way to measure out the DE. But the cup works. You've done the math right.

PS: After you've recharged the DE and bled all the air out and the filter has run a minute or two, that's your clean pressure. There's a good chance the pressure will not change just from adding the DE. Very little if at all.

A kitchen scale is also handy when it comes to adding cya. I bought a nifty digital at wally world a month or so back. I've used it a couple times already!

Hey Richard you mentioned you hook up a hose and water your yard when you need to lower your cya. Wouldn't the chlorine kill or dance any grass or plants?

It hasn't yet, after several years. Do you know anybody with an above ground pool with grass nearby? Is the grass damaged by the splashout?

Was asking cause I need to lower my cya and have a hose spigot before the filter. Thought about draining it that way and watering my grass but unsure how much damage if any it could cause
