Automatic pool cover issue…

So I opened up my cover not realizing the water level was a little low. About 3/4 open, one side stopped working.

It will open and close if I push and pull the non working sign but will not move by itself. Only one side is moving.

Any ideas how to fix this. The line isn’t broken.

The side that’s not working is the one on the other side of the motor.

Hopefully the mod will move this to the section where covers are discussed. What brand is it, did you restore proper water level and did you look at the owners manual for your cover as they often have troubleshooting in the manual? If the troublehshooting doesn't solve it (perhaps there is an adjustment bolt on that side that gave way to protect the mechanism when it had too much resistance since it was floating on the water) then you are looking at a service call.
