Autofill- no water coming in?

Our pool has a Pouralid Autofill system (3 years old). It has never seemed to work properly. Unfortunately, our PB passed away last summer so I am unable to get any information. The supply line is tapped into our sprinkler system right by the backflow preventer. We just had the sprinkler system started up and everything there is working normally. When I turn on the valve to the water supply, I can hear water go through the line. I removed the float valve inside the Autofill and no water comes out at all. I would think if there was a leak somewhere in the line there would at least be a trickle? Not sure what the issue is. Can I troubleshoot without digging up my yard? It’s probably a 60 foot run.

Is there a cover near the autofill that may contain a secondary shut off?

No other shutoff I’m aware of. I’ll take some pics when I’m home a bit later this afternoon. Is it possible it’s somehow connected to my sprinkler system so it will only run when the sprinklers are on? I haven’t checked that yet.
