Hi everyone. I’m trying to figure out the best way to attach the Hayward skimmer to my intex piping. I have the conversion kit from Game and a threaded ball joint valve.

My pool has two inlets going to the pump. Do I want to close one of these with the black plug (and glue?) they provide or close both of them or none of them?

I’ve seen some people use a threaded pvc tee to connect more piping…just not sure the best route to go. Thanks in advance!

When i did this i plugged the two intex ports using the black domed plugs that came with the pool. You will get better skimming and cleaner pool if the only thing connected to the pump suction side is the skimmer. Dont use the intex valve that has the dual port because you already have a valve on the skimmer. Use 1.5 inch pvc pipe to extend from the skimmer if you have to make up the difference from not using the intex valve and flex tubing.
