Yes, the swg is usually the first place scale shows up. Waterline tile and plaster are the next places. It is important to keep PH between 7.5 and 7.8 in a plaster, SWG pool.
Aquapure 1400 keeps saying low salt.

yup, I just really hate dealing with acid and since the water is naturally PH 8, its acid all the time here. I'm going to be more vigilant with it.

I also had an issue with a low salt reading and service code 144. My Taylor salt test kit gave me a reading of 3400 but my Aquapure 1400 was reading 1.7. I took out the sensor and it looked fine, no scaling (see the attached photo), but I cleaned it with a green 3M abrasive pad. Once I reinserted the sensor and started things up again it gave an accurate reading.
