Any Tips on Getting Weir Door Out

Hello,

I just had a new skimmer installed and of course the weir door that came with it is getting stuck. I'm going to have to take it out and shave it down or replace it. Problem is I cannot for the life of me get it out. It's the style that has two tabs on the sides that just slip into holes on the side of the skimmer. Real easy to get in, impossible to get out:

Nope, it just has a little bit of give in the plastic to push it in

Mine is easiest to remove by pressing the tab on one side, slide toward the opposite side, and slightly raising the "pressed" side to clear the detent. Hope that helps.

Wow lifting up actually did the trick! I think I had been pulling outward instead of up. Thanks!

Do be careful removing and reinstalling the weir. I used to take mine out when closing each fall because of winter ice, and frequently cracking it where the springy part above the pins. Now I just leave it in place.
